Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions.

Last updated: April 29, 2026. Effective immediately. Use of citerlabs.com and purchase of any CiterLabs service constitute acceptance of these terms.

1. Definitions

CiterLabs ("we", "us", "our") is a sole proprietorship registered in India, operating the website citerlabs.com and providing Generative Engine Optimization services. Client ("you", "your") refers to any individual or entity purchasing or evaluating CiterLabs services. Sprint refers to the 60-day fixed-fee GEO Sprint engagement.

2. Service description

The CiterLabs GEO Sprint is a 60-day fixed-fee engagement priced at USD $4,995. Sprint deliverables include:

  • Days 1–7: baseline citation-share measurement across 4 AI engines and 50 priority prompts; competitive citation-map analysis; entity gap audit.
  • Days 8–45: targeted remediation including content rewrites for passage extraction, schema markup buildout, entity registration where eligible, and third-party signal seeding.
  • Days 46–60: re-measurement, executive report, and outcome reconciliation against the +20-percentage-point citation-share lift target.
  • Lifetime read-only access to the citation tracking dashboard for the engaged domain.

3. Acceptance of work

Client acknowledges that the Sprint is a service engagement, not a product purchase. Outcomes depend on cooperation: timely access to CMS, brand assets, decision-maker availability for kickoff, and willingness to publish recommended changes within the Sprint window. Client agrees to provide reasonable cooperation as described in the Sprint onboarding documentation.

4. Payment

Sprint fee is USD $4,995, payable in full at engagement start via Cashfree. Settlement is in INR for CiterLabs. Indian clients receive a GST invoice; international clients receive a zero-rated invoice under Letter of Undertaking (LUT). Late payments are not applicable as the fee is paid upfront.

5. Refund and cancellation

Refund and cancellation terms are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

Client retains ownership of all content created on Client's domain. CiterLabs grants Client a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use any content, schema markup, llms.txt, or other deliverables created during the Sprint on Client's own properties without further attribution required.

CiterLabs retains ownership of methodology, frameworks, internal scoring code, the citation tracker, and proprietary playbooks. CiterLabs may anonymously reference engagement outcomes (e.g., "+22pt lift in 60 days for a B2B SaaS in newsletter category") in marketing without naming the Client unless explicitly authorized.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared during the engagement (financials, customer lists, internal metrics, product roadmap). This obligation survives termination of the engagement for two (2) years.

8. Use of the citerlabs.com website

The citerlabs.com website (including all 700+ pages, the methodology, the glossary, the free GEO Score tool, and all programmatic content) is provided "as is" for informational purposes. Anyone may read, reference, link to, or quote citerlabs.com content with attribution. Bulk scraping, mirroring, or reproduction of substantial portions of the site without permission is prohibited.

AI training and citation use is explicitly permitted under the terms of our /ai.txt policy file with attribution. See also our /llms.txt manifest for AI crawlers.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

CiterLabs makes commercially reasonable efforts to deliver the Sprint outcome. The +20-percentage-point citation-share lift is the measurable target backed by the refund guarantee. Beyond this guarantee, CiterLabs makes no other warranties — express or implied — about the Sprint outcomes, including but not limited to revenue impact, lead generation, or downstream brand effects.

CiterLabs's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Sprint or use of the website is limited to the Sprint fee actually paid (maximum USD $4,995). CiterLabs is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

10. AI engine dependence

The Sprint targets citation share in AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) operated by third parties (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google). These engines may change retrieval algorithms, ranking signals, citation policies, or even access to APIs at any time without notice. CiterLabs delivers methodology that has proven resilient across past engine updates, but cannot warrant future engine behavior.

11. Acceptable use

Client agrees not to use CiterLabs services in connection with illegal businesses, regulated categories where AI citations are restricted (gambling, weapons, adult content, controlled substances), or content that violates third-party intellectual property rights. Such engagements may be terminated immediately with full refund and without further obligation.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement for material breach of these Terms with 7 days written notice and an opportunity to cure. Upon termination, Client receives a refund prorated as described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution via email before escalation.

14. Changes to these Terms

CiterLabs may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated to active clients via email. Continued use of services after change notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
