Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Last updated: April 29, 2026. Plain English, no fine print. If we miss the +20 percentage point citation-share lift target by Day 60, you get a full refund — no fight, no defense, no escalation needed.

1. The guarantee

CiterLabs sells a single product: the GEO Sprint, a fixed-fee 60-day engagement at USD $4,995. Every Sprint includes a measurable outcome target: an increase of at least 20 percentage points in your aggregate citation share across an agreed set of 50 priority prompts measured across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

If we do not achieve that target by Day 60, you receive a 100% refund of the Sprint fee.

2. How to claim a refund

Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund — [your domain]" by Day 65 of your Sprint. Include the original payment confirmation. We acknowledge within 1 business day and process the refund within 7 business days back to your original payment method.

No call required. No defensive investigation. No "give us another month" haggling. We designed the guarantee to remove procurement friction, and we honor it the same way.

3. Cancellation by the client

You may cancel a Sprint at any time before Day 30 for a 50% refund of the Sprint fee, deducted to cover work-in-progress costs (audit, baseline measurement, and initial entity work). After Day 30, cancellations follow the Day-60 outcome guarantee instead.

4. Cancellation by CiterLabs

CiterLabs may cancel an active Sprint with full refund if, during the engagement, we determine that the brand has been materially misrepresented (e.g. revenue band, decision maker, content surface), or if the brand category is determined to be a poor fit that was not visible in the original application. Such cancellations are rare and always result in a full refund regardless of phase.

5. What is NOT covered by the refund guarantee

  • Citation losses caused by client-side actions during the Sprint (deleting indexable pages, removing schema markup, changing canonical URLs, blocking AI crawlers in robots.txt).
  • Citation losses caused by AI engine outages or major model retraining events that materially shift citation behavior across all sources during the Sprint window.
  • Sprint phases the client refused to participate in (e.g. failure to provide CMS access for required content updates, refusal to publish recommended pages).

These exclusions apply only when documented and acknowledged. CiterLabs surfaces them in writing during the Sprint, not after.

6. The retention retainer (post-Sprint)

After a Sprint ends, clients may opt into a retention retainer at $1,995/month (monthly billing, cancel any time). The retainer is not refundable retroactively, but you may cancel before any month begins to avoid the next charge.

7. Payment processor and currency

CiterLabs accepts payment via Cashfree (international cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express; UPI; netbanking for Indian clients). Sprint fee is denominated in USD $4,995. Settlement is in INR for CiterLabs. Refund is processed back to the original payment instrument within 7 business days.

8. Tax handling

CiterLabs is a GST-registered Indian business. Services to clients outside India are zero-rated under Letter of Undertaking (LUT). Indian clients receive a tax invoice with GST applied at the prevailing rate. No additional taxes are charged at the time of payment beyond what is shown at checkout.

9. Disputes

Any disputes arising from this policy are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. We strongly prefer to resolve all questions amicably via email before escalation; [email protected] is always the first stop.

10. Changes to this policy

CiterLabs may update this policy from time to time. Changes apply to engagements purchased after the change takes effect; existing engagements are governed by the policy in force at the time of purchase. Material changes are communicated to active clients via email.
